Guess what??? This morning I'm on my way to take the kids downtown to the Science Center (scratch that, I'm actually on my way to Starbucks before I head down to the Science Center) and my wonderful car decides that it doesn't feel like driving over 40 MPH. The check engine light is on, and it won't accelerate over the "2 RPM" mark. Are you kidding me??? We just paid almost $4,500 for a new transmission and now this??? UUUUUGH!
I've got to vent... My car is a Lexus SUV. Not exactly a "budget" set of wheels, and I've got to tell ya -- I really don't expect to have to buy a new transmission and rebuild the engine all before it hits 80,000 miles....
So today, I'm thinking of trading it in for the Ford Focus.
