Ashby Park

Since today was another scorcher, the kids and I went swimming at Ashby Park. It was such a perfect day! For some reason, despite the heat and humidity, there weren't very many people there. It was great!!



In the beginning of the summer, Caleb was timid around the fountains. He wasn't totally sure if he liked them or not, and wasn't that into water being splashed in his face. Today as I was sitting in the pool and throwing him around, I realized how much he changed over the course of the summer. He was running around, splashing, totally coming into his own. He LOVES it!!

This first fountain is pretty cool. It changes between one really high and forceful fountain in the middle and then several smaller and spread out shoots of water in a circle.






Caleb was standing in the middle of the fountain trying to stand on the lone shoot of water when it changed to the multi-stream. He's running as fast as he can outta there!!








Katherine and Ben showing all the mommies how they can swim, put their faces under the water and blow bubbles. Way to go guys!

As soon as I got out the camera, Caleb started yelling "CHEEEZZE!" and this is the goofy grin I got. LOVE it!

Matt has vacation this entire week, so he's been hard at work trying to get the patio finished in the backyard. Thank goodness it's cooling down tomorrow. How many more days in a row can we take that are in the upper 90's with 85% humidity. UUUUGH!
