Oh Happy Day!

Every once in a while a GREAT gift comes your way ... something totally unexpected, but something you couldn't live without. As luck would have it, Katherine received such a gift today.

After I took her to preschool, Caleb and I ran to the grocery store, and then took off for story time at the Clive Library. Katie Lee (Faber for those from LeMars) and her little boy, Blake, are also in our class. When Blake was born, I let her borrow my breast pump and she brought it to story time today. When she gave it back to me, she mentioned that she had a little something inside for me... errr, Katherine.

She started opening the bag and pulled out a picture. It just so happened to be an autographed picture of Shawn Johnson. It was addressed to Katherine and Shawn had drawn a heart on it. Talk about making a little girl's day. It was all she could talk about, and definitely something she'll treasure.

Since it was a gorgeous day, after we picked Katherine (and Nicholas) up from preschool, Michelle and I took the kids to the zoo. They had so much playing outside and actually got to ride the train this time. (It wasn't up and working yet last time we were there). By the time we were ready to head home, they were sweaty and exhausted. Both of them actually fell asleep in the car!! Good times!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! At 9:30 am we go in for THE ultrasound. If the little one decides to move around, we'll hopefully be able to find out what the sex of the baby is! Woo-Hoo! I can't wait!
