Tomorrow is Katherine's big day. It's her first day of preschool,.... Can you hear me fretting??? I'm having *such* a hard time with this.... Three days a week.... Where has the time gone??? It seems like just yesterday she was this little 5 pound 12 ounce baby girl who needed me for everything, and in the blink of an eye, she's grown into this charming and amazingly funny preschooler. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. I'm so blessed to love her. I'm so blessed to be loved BY her.... (Yea, I'm wiping tears away..... and more importantly, NO, Katherine doesn't know how I feel about her new preschool adventure).

We celebrated our last day of summer by going to the zoo, and man was it hot ... as in mid 90's with LOTS of humidity! Thankfully it didn't seem to bother the kids! Michelle, Ben and Tessa came with us, and Katherine and Caleb had a blast riding on the train and playing on the new play structure in the petting zoo area with Ben. I tell ya, Caleb is smitten! He LOOOVES Ben!

After naps, the kids and I met up with my parents, and had dinner with my Grandma. Even though she's in a wheelchair now, I'm so thankful that she's able to get out. Then we hit the mall to do a little shopping. I had to continue the search for the perfect pair of sneakers, which thankfully I found! Super cute, pink and white Nikes. We then had to hit Gymboree and The Children's Place to see if we could find any "must haves", and you know what???? We did!! I got Caleb a super cute sweater, button down shirt and cords, and Katherine got "a few" things for school.

My grandma really wanted to go to Target tonight, so after we left the mall, we took her. I needed to grab a few things and while I was doing so, my dad took the cart with Katherine and Caleb. Now picture this... The store isn't busy. Caleb is in the front of the cart; Katherine is in the back. My dad grabs the cart, and starts running up and down the aisles as fast as he can all while making car sounds. Caleb is squealing. Katherine is in hysterics. So guess what??? My dad keeps it up. He's running around the store like only a Grandpa could. It's so obvious how much he loves them and they in turn love their Pop-pops. As soon as I took over the cart pushing duties, Caleb kept saying, "Want Papa. Papa fun. More fun. More Papa. Where'd Papa go? Want Papa. Want more fun." Yea, I'm chopped liver!

I'll post picture from Katherine's big first day tomorrow. Here's to hoping and praying that I can hold back the tears in front of her. Wish me luck!
