Today is one of my favorite days. I love Mother's Day. I love everything about it .... The kids woke me up thrilled to give me the handmade treasures they'd made, and smother me with hugs and kisses. Their faces were filled with joy and anticipation. They had such an innocence and pure love about them. Honestly, there is nothing better. NOTHING.
I had so many people ask me if I was "pampered" today. If I got some time just for myself. The answer isn't exactly simple. Was I pampered? Absolutely. Time to myself? On Mother's Day? Absolutely not. To me, this isn't what today is about. Today is about celebrating motherhood. It's about spending the day with the little people who gave me a reason to celebrate this day in the first place. It's loving them with all my heart and realizing how blessed I am to have them in my life. They are amazing, and I'm so glad that I have them in my life.
Being a Mommy is the one job I've always wanted. It's the most humbling, rewarding experience of my life and having these three little ones in my world makes the ride worthwhile. I am blessed beyond words.
