The search is on.... I either need to find a suitable pee guard for Caleb's potty chair, or I'll be investing in a new potty chair all together. Why didn't anyone tell me that I'd need the thing eventually?!?!?!?!? HECK ... at the time I didn't even know what it was for. So great, not only am I completely ignorant, but on top of that, I have Matt making cute comments like, "Why didn't you ask me what it was? I would have have told you to keep it *SNICKER* *GRIN*". Great, thanks honey! Too late now! So, if anyone knows where I can find one of these little gems, PLEASE let me know!

I had my MAT meeting for Katherine's preschool tonight, and when I got home, I was greeted by two jumping kids excited to see me and ready to plant slobbery kisses all over my face and throw their heavy arms around my neck. What could be better??? In my world, nothing!

After I got settled in, Caleb and I headed for the bathroom, and spent... ooooooh, probably 45 minutes on the potty chair. He had been dry for over 3 hours at this point.... NO success, but we had a great chat, read some good books (one of which Caleb now has memorized), and played cars. Finally, I talked him into getting dressed and heading to bed. He reluctantly agreed, but when he realized he wouldn't be getting a sucker, he broke down and DEMANDED to give it another try. So back on he went...

I had tried almost everything else up to this point, so I got a bowl and brought it over to the sink. I was planning to fill it up with warm water and let him dip his hands in it to relax. While I was running the water, he instantly started to go! Woo-Hoo!!! So he went to bed one happy little boy -- and that makes me one happy Mommy!!

Tomorrow is Katherine's big Valentine's Day party at preschool. I'm going to help out, and both of us are really looking forward to it. They are baking sugar cookies (should be pretty interesting with 18 4/5 year olds! LOL), exchanging Valentines, playing games and eating yummy snacks..... They are also learning about the mail system, so her teacher printed out labels with each child's name and shape/color. (At the beginning of the year, each child was assigned a shape and color and everything they use -- from their cubbies to their crayons -- are labeled with it). They then have to sort their valentines and put them in the appropriate "mail box". The kids love it!

Anyway, Caleb also has Kindermusik tomorrow morning, which means ONE thing..... Matt will be going! Oh, if only I could be a fly on the wall. How I wish I could see Matt getting up and down off the floor like a yo-yo, playing instruments, dancing, and singing. It'll be quite the experience for him! I can't wait to hear how it goes! Thankfully, Caleb talks EXTREMELY well for his age, and doesn't forget a thing, so I'm sure I'll get a full report! Can't wait! LOL.
