I can't believe I forgot to blog about this....
Katherine is learning how to read, sounding out words, and recognizing sounds. Lately she's been wanting to give it a go on her own, so she sounds out the words and writes them down to see if she can get them right. She's been doing a really a good job, but here's a few from the past couple of days that just tickled me...

party - PRD
love - LUV
Riley (our dog) - RALE

Nana used to say in her Boston accent that it was time for me to take a "B A A A A T H". I would yell at the top of my lungs..."IT'S NOT BAAAAATH NANA, IT'S BATH!"
My mix up in the first grade was Mother = MOVER. LOL Couldn't get that "TH" thing down.
