Frustration...

Caleb has fallen in love with train tables, and plays with them every chance he gets... at the Science Center, at Nicholas and Caden's house, at Ben's house. He's obsessed, and will stand there an tinker for as long as we'd let him. He loves pushing the trucks and trains around the tracks, setting up the stoplights, making car sounds, you know, typical boy stuff. LOL!

Matt and I have decided to get him a set for Christmas, so I've been educating myself and shopping around for good deals. As luck would have it, Michelle called me this morning and told me that Toys R Us had a table on sale, and with purchase, it included a 60 piece starter set for FREE. How perfect is that??? Since we were on our way to Hospice to visit my Grandma, I decided to pick it up while the kids were napping later that afternoon.

I finally got to Toys R Us around 3 this afternoon. Originally they had 50 sets, but had been completely sold out since noon! What??? UUUUGH! So I race to the car and call Michelle. She called down to the southside store while I called around trying to get directions. She called me back to say that they had sets still in the store, so at this point, it's full speed ahead! I have a heavy foot anyway, but today I was flying!!

I pull into the parking lot, run inside and guess what??? SOLD OUT! I missed the last set by minutes. How frustrating is that??? I wanted to cry....

The story I'm told is that the West Des Moines store is getting a truck in on Wednesday. They don't know if there will be any train tables on board, but I'll be waiting by the door when it opens! Santa is going to come through for my little man this year!!
