It's been a long day. A really REALLY long day.
Caleb slept decently well last night considering he was without plug (pacifier), but decided to get up at least 1.5 hours sooner than normal. He demanded to play with Mack. Are you kidding me? It's still dark out... The birds aren't even chirping, but my little man is ready to rock and roll! All I want to do is hit snooze for a few more minutes... No such luck!
Katherine heard all the commotion and came into my room hoping to get a little more shut-eye, but Caleb would have none of it. After all, it was time to play, and evidently Mack was a willing participant.
So I turned on the TV (I know, I know... BAD MOMMY) and took a shower. It was STILL dark, and I'm not exactly a morning person!! UUUUUGH!
By the time 9:30 rolled around, we had already been to the grocery store and back home again and unloaded the sacks. Since it was raining, I decided it was a perfect day for Chuck E Cheese. Caleb brought Mack along, but I insisted that he wait in the car. Caleb couldn't wait to tell Ben and Michelle that he was now a big boy and Mack was waiting for him in the car.
Shortly after we got there, Caleb decided that he wanted to take off his shoes, and then ran off to play. I look up and see several people laughing, and all of a sudden, here comes Caleb running, jeans in hand, sporting only a diaper. It was lovely! He was laughing so hard he could hardly run! It was hysterical.
We're home now (obviously), and despite how well he was doing without his plug, he's now up in bed screaming for it. He's absolutely beside himself. It breaks my heart, but as much as I want to, I can't give him his plug back now..... It's killing me! He's got to be tired. Oh, I wish he'd go to sleep!
