Quirky

I'll be the first one to admit... I'm pretty quirky. I've always hoped that it wasn't heredity, but now I'm fearing the worst! LOL.

One of my quirky things is socks. The thought of putting on a previously worn sock gives me the heebie-geebies. Big time. Actually, I'd rather go barefoot, even if the "previously worn" sock has only been on my foot 30 minutes. There's just something about it. I feel like I'm wearing dirty laundry. I just can't do it. I can't get past it....

So when I take Caleb to Kindermusik, and he insists on taking off his shoes and socks, I always put the sock in the corresponding shoe (ie the sock that was on his left foot goes in the left shoe). I'm not sure why, but it makes it less disgusting that way.... I never told him what I was doing, I just did it...

So fast forward to yesterday... I'm folding laundry in the living room and playing with the kids. When I get to the socks I realize that several of them are missing. I can't find them anywhere.... Katherine starts helping me look for them and all of a sudden Caleb says, "SOCKS, RIGHT DERE", and takes Katherine by the hand and leads her to the hallway closet. He had stuffed every sock he could find into shoes. LOL!! It totally cracked us up. It's amazing all the little things kids catch onto without us saying a word!

Wow. Pretty intelligent. Now if he could just watch you pick up the toys, clean the bathrooms, and vacuum, I think he'd start doing those things as well!

Too funny, I know how you feel on the whole dirty sock thing.
